Description

Professor Gerard Markx from Heriot-Watt’s School of Engineering and Physical Sciences has become a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). Fellowships are awarded to professional engineers who have been employed in an important position of responsibility in chemical engineering for a significant period of time, and have demonstrated technical excellence and leadership. Professor Gerard Markx is Professor of Bioprocessing in the Institute of Biological Chemistry, Biophysics and Bioengineering. The wide spread of his interests and expertise and multidisciplinary nature of his work is demonstrated by the fact that he already was Fellow of the Institute of Physics and Fellow of the Society for Biology before being awarded this Fellowship.
