Biography
Chin Zi Hau is an Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia and recently earned his PhD from the School of IT at Monash University Malaysia in 2025. He obtained his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science from Multimedia University, Malaysia, in 2018 and completed his Master of Science (Information Technology) in 2021. His research interests span blockchain technologies, particularly Proof-of-Work protocols, and blockchain scalability improvements. His current doctoral research centres on enhancing the compact block relay protocol to improve blockchain scalability. In addition to his blockchain work, he is leading projects in AI, including a voice synthesis with text-to-speech and an AI recommendation system project aimed at advancing personalised business analytics and machine learning applications.
