Research interests

My area of expertise is the application of complex quantitative methods to address problems within business and management settings. My work focuses on the use of techniques from Social Network Analysis (SNA), such as Exponential Random Graph Models (ERGMs), reflecting my research methods expertise. My published work covers a variety of areas and disciplinary intersections, including corporate governance, inter-organisational collaboration, international trade, leadership, and the science of science. 

 

Biography

I am an Associate Professor in Social Research Methods at the Department of Research Methods and Practice. I joined Heriot-Watt University in 2018 as a post-doctoral research fellow working on a project linked to gender diversity and corporate governance. In 2020, I became an Assistant Professor in Social Research Methods in the Doctoral Centre in the School of Social Sciences. Prior to this, I completed my PhD in International Business from the University of Greenwich. During my PhD, I was an active member of the Centre for Business Network Analysis (CBNA). In 2015, I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
