Area of expertise

My area of expertise are broadly organized around the theme of studying two aspects of cognition: reflective attention and memories. You may be aware of sensory attention (perception), meaning we focus on a few external information for deeper processing while ignoring other irrelevant information. Could attention operate the same way as internal/reflective attention? For example, if we paid more attention to certain thoughts within our working memory, how does that affect other thoughts in terms of attention and memory? And how would language affect this? Her work aims to answer some of these questions.
