Biography

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, where I serve as Director of the MA Accountancy and MA Professional Accountancy (Edinburgh) programmes, and Global Director for the MA Accountancy and Finance programmes. I also act as Postgraduate Research (PGR) Lead for Accountancy within the department.

Prior to joining Heriot-Watt University, I was a Lecturer in Accounting at Abertay University in Dundee. During this time, I held several leadership roles, including leading research seminars and workshops within the School of Business, Law, and Social Sciences. I also served as Deputy Lead of the Sustainable Development & Inclusive Living Challenge Space, contributing to advancing research on sustainability and inclusivity.

I currently serve as an Associate Editor for Cogent Business & Management (Taylor & Francis). I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), reflecting my commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, and academic leadership. I am currently an External Examiner (DBA) at Teesside University and Canterbury Christ Church University, United Kingdom.
