I currently serve as an Assistant Professor and Programme Director for undergraduate in the Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance, Edinburgh Business School, at Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom. I am also the lead for PhD Accountancy in the department. Prior to joining Heriot-Watt University, I held a lecturer position in the Accounting, Business and Management Division at Abertay University, Dundee. During this time, I assumed leadership roles as lead for research seminars and workshops within the School of Business, Law, and Social Science. I also served as the Deputy Lead of the Sustainable Development & Inclusive Living Challenge Space, where I led and actively contributed to the university's research initiatives focused on sustainability and inclusivity.

I have also mentored and supervised staff, postgraduate research students, and undergraduate students, ensuring their success and well-being throughout their academic and professional journeys. I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Centre for Social and Economic Data Analytics (CSEDA) at Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom.
