Plastic and rubber waste management, biodegradable composites, plastic and rubber recycling
Suganti Ramarad is an early career researcher whom focuses on polymer waste management such as recycling tires and formulating biodegradable polymers/composites. Her MSc was focused on biodegradable composite made up of poly(lactic acid) and kenaf fibres. Upon completion, she served a biotechnology and a polymer industry for a total of four year before returning to complete her PhD. Her PhD was focused on recycling waste tires by means of blending with another polymer and electron beam irradiation. Suganti has a strong research driven personality with experience working as member in multitude of different grants such FRGS, Science-Fund and Techno-Fund. She is meticulous, strong-willed, team player and goal driven. All these qualities have ensured all the projects she has endured is completed successfully. Her strong research allies can be speculated from her published ISI journals to date. Currently, she is tenured as a lecturer with Heriot Watt University Malaysia and actively seeking for research grants and collaboration. She vision’s to be a strong internationally recognised researcher with credible, commercially viable research track record.
