Biography

Dr Stefano Maiani is a graduate of the University of Bologna. He holds an MRes in Finance and a PhD in Finance from the University of Essex. He joined Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University) in the summer of 2023, having previously been employed at the University of Essex (2023), Leuphana University of Lüneburg (2020-2023) and the University of Essex (2018-2020). 

Research interests

Dr Stefano Maiani main research interests are in the areas of private equity, venture capital, climate finance and sustainable investment, and international economics. His work has been published in several journals, including the Journal of International Money and Finance and the British Journal of Management.
