Shammi Seth is a highly experienced software developer and researcher with over 15 years of expertise in game development, serious games, and software engineering. His work spans multiple industries, including education, digital transformation, SaaS, advertising, and digital media.
Currently, Shammi is a Researcher in Serious Games for Mental Health for Adolescents as part of the European Project SMILE, funded by the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme. His role involves designing and developing serious games while also acting as a liaison between clinical and technical partners to ensure the effective integration of research and game development.
He led technical teams in developing multiplayer team-based simulations and contributed to projects for major companies, delivering high-quality digital solutions.
His expertise spans game development, consulting, and project delivery, having successfully led and contributed to projects for companies like Shell, PepsiCo, and Cigna. His technical skill set includes Unity, Unreal Engine, C#, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and various game development and multimedia technologies.
He has successfully developed VR safety training platforms and mixed-reality applications aimed at social impact, such as tackling loneliness among older adults in a UKRI-funded project at Cardiff University.
He has also worked on VR safety training platforms, leveraging technologies such as React, AWS, JavaScript, Node.js, Kotlin, C++, and Unreal Engine
He holds an MSc in Computer Games Technology from Abertay University and an MCA in Computers from the University of Mumbai. Additionally, he has earned certifications in PRINCE2 Project Management, and Serious Gaming.
Beyond his professional work, Shammi is passionate about hackathons, game expos, board games, and exploring emerging technologies in serious gaming and interactive experiences.
