Biography

Dr. Sean Lochrie is an Associate Professor in Marketing in the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus. In the department, Sean’s also holds the role of the Deputy Associate Executive Dean (Education & Student life) Dubai.

Sean’s research interests focus on management and marketing perspectives within the tourism, leisure, and cultural heritage industries. He has published research in several journals including the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Marketing Management, Tourism Recreation Research, Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, and the Services Industries Journal.

Sean delivers several undergraduate and postgraduate courses across the school. This includes Research Philosophy and Practice, and Leisure Marketing. He is also the Undergraduate Honours Year Dissertation coordinator.

Sean is also a member of various school and university groups such as the School Studies Committee, the Learning and Teaching Operations Group, the Learning and Teaching Strategy Committee, and the Learning Teaching and Enhancement Fourm.
