Rafal is interested in supervising research related to sustainable HRM, as well as equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Research activity per year
Rafal examines sustainable Human Resource Management (HRM) practices and the principles of diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) within organizations. He explores how HRM strategies, which prioritize a long-term perspective, ethical business practices, and environmental responsibility, can enhance employee engagement and retention while contributing to the overall social responsibility of businesses.
Rafal is the author of textbook “Sustainable Human Resource Management, Using HRM to achieve long-term social, environmental and business goals”. He is the Global Programme Director for the MA in International Business Administration at Heriot-Watt University, where he also teaches Sustainable HRM. He has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience in different areas of human resource management. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Academic Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
