Dr Nataliia Osina’s research focuses on the intersection of international finance, financial stability, and emerging developments in sustainable and digital financial systems. Her key research interests include:
I joined Edinburgh Business School, Heriot‑Watt University, as an Assistant Professor in Finance, following senior academic roles at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge and De Montfort University. Across these institutions, I have led large multi‑campus finance modules, taught extensively across UG, PG, MBA, and international partner programmes, and delivered Bloomberg training and employability events. These experiences have shaped a teaching philosophy grounded in clarity, applied learning, and research‑informed practice.
My research examines international finance, global liquidity, cross‑border bank flows, capital flow regulations, and financial stability. I have published in respected journals, including Review of World Economics, Journal of Banking Regulation, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Journal of Asset Management, and Journal of Industry, Competition and Trade.
Beyond teaching and research, I contribute actively to the academic community through UG/PG/DBA/PhD dissertation supervision, peer‑reviewing for IRFA and IJCB, and organising guest lectures and professional development sessions. My academic trajectory reflects a sustained commitment to advancing knowledge in international finance and supporting student success through inclusive, globally oriented academic practice.
