Nasreddine Megrez holds a Msc and PhD degrees in applied Mathematics from Toulouse University, France, and a Professional Master degree in Finance/economics from the "University of Quebec in Outaouais", Canada. Currently he is Associate Professor of Mathematics and Actuarial sciences at the Dubai Campus of Heriot Watt University where he has been teaching courses for the Statistical Data Science Program since 2021. He has extensive experience in Teaching all undergraduate Math courses in Canada (University of Alberta), France (University of Toulouse), and abroad at universities following the North American system, especially Alfaisal University in Riyadh where the engineering programs were designed by MIT. He also has gained a good administrative experience as Chair of the Department of Mathematics at Alfaisal University, Director of a graduate program at Heriot Watt University, and member of different committees.
As a teacher, he is committed to ensuring that his students receive the highest quality education. He strive to make learning a rewarding experience for his students by encouraging critical thinking, class participation, and by creating a dynamic learning environment.
