Personal profile

Research interests

My research interests lies at the intersection of development economics, international political economy, and institutional economics. I investigate the design and effectiveness of IMF conditionality, focusing on how the degree, scope, and depth of policy conditions interact with domestic political-economy constraints to shape programme implementation and development outcomes. My current research uses Pakistan as a longitudinal case study to examine compliance with IMF conditionality across successive lending programmes
