For my research group and projects please see here: http://ittgroup.org/

My research area is human‐computer interaction (HCI) – that is, the study and subsequent improvement of human interaction with technology and the development and evaluation of novel interactive technologies, particularly recently Robots. My research has recently been focused on health and mobile HCI (see Uzor and Baillie, 2012, Ayoade and Baillie, 2014, Micalleff and Baillie, 2016). Another strand of my mobile HCI research is that of new usable security solutions for mobile technologies to enable people to interact with their mobile devices in a more trustworthy (secure) but still usable way (Kayacik et al. 2014, Micaleff et al 2015).

I have a strong track record over 15 years in research management and leadership at a senior level in two countries (Austria and UK). I am currently the Director of the Interactive and Trustworthy Technologies (ITT) Group. I have been successful in being awarded funding of over £5M as a Principal Investigator and over £15m as a co-investigator. I have been funded by funders from prestigious research councils (MRC/EPSRC, FFG), international companies (Orange, Telecom Austria, Alcatel-Lucent, Siemens, Microsoft), charities (Heritage Lottery Fund, CHSS, Paths to Health, Calman), and Governments (local, national and EU). I have over 100 peer reviewed high level publications.
