Biography

Dr Lucy Bolton is an Associate Professor in Business and Coaching Psychology and Global Director of Postgraduate Taught Programmes (DPTP) for Psychology at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai. She is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Registered Occupational Psychologist with the HCPC, as well a Senior Fellow of the Advance HE (SFHEA).
 
Lucy specialises in business and coaching psychology and teaches across MSc programmes in Business Psychology and Business Psychology with Coaching in Dubai and online. She is a trained business coach with the Association for Coaching and is further developing her practice through training with the International Coaching Federation. Her work focuses on developing coaching capability and supporting professional growth, particularly in career development, organisational change, leadership and diversity in the workplace.
 
Lucy’s research and consultancy address real world organisational challenges including graduate socialisation, work values, employability, job design, socio technical systems and change management. She has worked with organisations such as Rolls Royce, Bentley Motors, Marks and Spencer, STC, KFAS, the NHS, REED NCFE and the UK Government Office of Science. She has presented internationally at conferences including BPS DOP, EAWOP, AOM, AHFE, IPCD and MEPA, and continues to publish and review in leading business and coaching psychology journals.
