Personal profile

Biography

Currently an Associate Professor within the School of Engineering & Physical Sciences. I completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Aix-Marseille University (France), following an MSc (DEA) in Fluid Mechanics from Pierre & Marie-Curie University in Paris (France) and an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Lomé (Togo). Subsequently, I was a Research Fellow at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and a Senior Lecturer at Wrexham University (North Wales, UK).

Research interests

My research focuses on the fundamental, theoretical, and computational modelling of various engineering flow systems. Some previous research was in rarefied flows. I now investigate compressible flow, as seen, for example, in hydrogen technology. I also conduct research on micro- and nanoscale flows that are seen in water transport processes, environmental flow control, and disease control in the human body (simulations of flows in blood vessels). One of my most significant projects involved improving the basic equations for fluid flow modelling, specifically the Navier-Stokes equations, to enhance their predictive accuracy in nonlocal equilibrium simulations:
