Biography

Kayvan Karim is an Assistant Professor at the School of Mathematics and Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai, where he also serves as the Program Director for MSc Software Engineering and MSc IT Software Systems. With over two decades of experience as a software engineer, architect, and consultant, he combines academia with entrepreneurship, developing innovative software solutions.

His research explores the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs) in network security. Passionate about software engineering and deep learning, he shares insights on programming, enterprise software development, and emerging technologies through his blog.
