Research interests

3D imaging of fluid flow in permeable media using both in-house and synchrotron X-ray micro-CT, with applications to subsurface H2 storage, geological sequestration of CO2, remediation of contaminated soils and biological systems.

- 3D X-ray imaging and modelling of H2 and CO2 storage in subsurface rocks

- Pore-to-core scale dynamics of immiscible fluid displacement in porous media

- Effect of wettability on multiphase flow in porous media

- Multi-scale characterisation of heterogeneous rocks
