Dr Justina Setkute joined Herriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Business School, in Dubai in April 2024 as Assistant Professor in Marketing. She teaches various marketing and digital marketing courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr Setkute also supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research dissertations.
Her research interest lies in B2B SMEs digital marketing, marketing practice and marketing education. Dr Setkute has published in Industrial Marketing Management and Journal of Marketing Education, where she is also acting as a reviewer. She has been consistently presenting in Academy of Marketing conferences since 2016.
Dr Justina Setkute has been working a Lecturer in Digital Marketing for the last 10 years in several universities, including Technological University Dublin (Ireland), Coventry University (England), Dublin City University (Ireland) based at Princess Nora University (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and Robert Gordon University (Scotland). Before starting her academic career, Justina had been working as a marketing manager in the oil and gas industry, which inspired her PhD research, which investigated how B2B SMEs use digital marketing communications and what role it plays as a part of their marketing practices.
In 2018 she graduated with a PhD in Digital Marketing degree from Robert Gordon University. As a part of the studies, Justina has also received PGCert with Distinction in Research Methods. She completed MSc in Marketing at National University of Ireland Galway (now University of Galway) and received First Class Honours Degree in 2011. In 2010 she received my BA (Hons) degree in Management and Business Administration.
Dr Setkute has completed training and achieved Fellowship with Higher Education Academy (FHEA) now Advanced HE. She has also obtained Aurora Fellowship while undergoing female leadership training programme for higher education.
