I obtained a double degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2015, followed by a PhD in Data Science from University of Edinburgh. Teaching has been a calling for a long time and has become my main professional activity. I have a difficult relationship with professional research but I am hoping to improve this relationship over the next few years. I like to work at Heriot-Watt University and hope to develop further responsibility within it. In 2025, I joined the University Senate, which extends my contributions to other important University institutions such as the School Discipline Committee and Mitigating Circumstances Board.
I have broad areas of interest, but my main areas of expertise include Theoretical Computer Science, Programming Languages, Symbolic Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Software Engineering. Some of my interests sometimes bring me closer to Cybersecurity, Mathematical Logic, Algebra, Optimization, Function Approximation, Videogame Development, and even on occasion Social Sciences.
