Research interests

My research focuses on how cognitive biases influence both the content and propagation of information, in particular misinformation and conspiracy theories related to medicine and health, urban legends and other contemporary folklore. 

My research draws on the fields of cultural evolution, cognitive psychology, social psychology, evolutionary psychology, cognitive anthropology, and social learning.
