Research interests

John Phillips is a member of Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics Department in the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences and lectures a variety of statistics courses to students across all years.

He is the Undergraduate Programme Director Director for students studying Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics and Statistical Modelling, and is the chairman of the department's Student Staff Liaison Committee.  Current teaching commitments include Probability and Statistics B for second year students and Statistics for Social Science for fourth year students.
