Javid Karimli

I am currently a PhD candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Heriot-Watt University. I received my MSc from the University of Edinburgh and am affiliated with the SGPE program (Scottish Graduate Program in Economics). 

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in introductory, intermediate, and advanced microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, development economics, economic policy, quantitative methods, and business economics. I deliver lectures, conduct tutorials and computer labs, prepare and mark assessments, provide feedback on coursework, supervise student projects, invigilate exams, maintain the course VLEs (virtual learning environments), and carry out other teaching-related and administrative duties within the department.

My areas of research are health economics, economics of crime, and, more generally, applied microeconomics.
