Biography

Fergus' work focuses on interventions to improve health in the general population and performance in elite atheltes.  Fergus is very heavily involved with Open Scholarship, being part of the founding group of both Sport Rχiv, the first dedicated pre-print server in Sport and Exercise Science, a founding member of The Society for Transparency, Openness, and Replication in Kinesiology (STORK) a platform for kinesiologists, movement scientists, sport and exercise scientists, physical activity and health scientists to come together to improve methods and practices within their respective disciplines.

Fergus' research interests span a number of areas including:

  • Musculoskeletal Physiology
  • Integrity and Inclusion in Elite Sport
  • Wearable Technology and Sensors for Performance Monitoring
