Dr. Fadi Ghaith is the University Dean of Science and engineering. Dr Ghaith is Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering department within the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Heriot Watt University. Also he is  the Associate Director of Studies  at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai Campus. Dr. Ghaith has served different positions in academia as well as industry.Before joining Heriot Watt University, he held a range of positions in the Oil and Gas industry such as design & development engineer, purchasing manager, and Consultant. During his service in these positions he led many projects which exceeded the value of 10 Million USD. His industrial experience is recognized internationally as being Fellow and Chartered Engineer in the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (CEng MIMechE) and professional engineer in the Jordan Engineering Council (PE, JEA). Also he is a member of many international Engineering associations such as ASME, JEA and IAEME.

Dr.Ghaith has about 30 technical papers that have been published in international journals and presented in refereed international conferences. He led a multidisciplinary research in the areas of renewable energy, system dynamics, solid mechanics and engineering education. Also he is a reviewer of many international refereed Journals.
