Personal profile

Research interests

The focus of my research is the existence and regularity theory for nonlinear (stochastic) PDEs as well as their numerical analysis and related function spaces.
In particular, I'm interested in compressible fluids, stochastic Navier-Stokes equations and problems from fluid structure interaction.

In 2009, I finished my PhD study at Saarland University in Saarbrücken (Germany). Eventually, I had several postdoc positions in Oxford, Munich and Florence. In 2014 I joined the Mathematics Department at Heriot Watt becoming an Associate Professor (Reader) in 2018. In my research I'm concerned with the Analysis of (Stochastic) Partial Differential Equations with a focus on problems from Fluid Mechanics.
