Profile Summary

I am a PhD candidate and Graduate Teaching Assistant in psychology at Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, UK). I'm currently working toward Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. I am a member of the Exploring Majority Members' Acculturation (EMMA) lab; my PhD research focuses on how openness to cultural change relates to psychological growth (creativity and flourishing) and threat responses (prejudice and political extremism) among home university students. I have presented my research at the International Society of Political Psychology (2024), the European Congress on Positive Psychology (2024) and the UK Culture and Psychology conference (2023; 2024). I run the journal club for the Culture and Social Interaction research group and am a member of HWU's Buddy Programme, which introduces new post-graduate students to life at Heriot-Watt. I am a peer-reviewer for the International Journal of Intercultural Relations and am open to collaborating on cross-cultural projects with an intercultural relations focus, particularly those investigating the consequences of cultural diversity for majority members.
