David is the Associate Professor of Contemporary Management Practices at the Edinburgh Business School, and Senior Programme Director, EBS Graduate Apprenticeship Programmes. In addition to his programme leadership role, he teaches ‘Business Skills for the Second Machine Age’ delivered to second-year undergraduate business management students in Edinburgh, Dubai and Malaysia; and to graduate apprenticeship (GA) students. He is also the Honours-year GA Capstone Project course leader.
During his 39-year career, mainly in the US private sector, he built high-performance teams and directed sales operations and strategic account management processes in extremely fast-paced work environments and competitive markets involving multi-million-dollar contracts.
