I am open to PhD applications in the following areas: (1) Functional Polymers, Fibres, Fabrics and Clothing systems, (2) Sustainable Materials, Processes and Novel Technical Approaches, (3) Textile Finishing and Colouration for added functionality and value, (4) Recycling and Upcycling used and production waste textiles, (5) 3D printing for performance textile and clothing systems, (6) Engineering Design 2D/3D Structures for technical and performance textiles, (7) Performance Textile and Clothing Systems design and assembly, e.g. incorporating responsive materials to react extreme conditions, (8) Modelling textile structures and optimising properties to inform design processes, and (9) Thermal Physiological Comfort of textiles and clothing systems.
