Personal profile

Research interests

My research interests span a number of areas relevant to health and social psychology. In particular, I have an interest in adolescent health including risk behaviours, resilience, health inequalities and health-service use.

I was appointed Assistant Professor in Psychology at Heriot-Watt University in August 2016. Previously, I have been employed as a Senior Research Associate at UCL Institute of Child Health focusing on a Department of Health-funded portfolio of research to inform adolescent health policy as well as at the London School of Economics developing evidence-based interventions for health and wellbeing in British secondary schools. I completed my PhD focusing on wellbeing throughout the lifespan at the University of Dundee in 2009.
