Profile Summary

Dr Osei has been Associate Professor in International Marketing at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University since January 2024. He is also the Programme Director for the MSc International Marketing and MSc International Marketing with Consumer Psychology programmes.  

He received his PhD in Marketing from Edinburgh Napier University and MBA (Marketing) from University of Leicester. He is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (UK) and holds PGCert in Teaching and Assessment in Higher Education.

He has worked in different capacities in universities in Ghana, England and Scotland. He joined Heriot-Watt University from Edinburgh Napier University, where he led and taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For several years, he was the programme leader for the BA (Hons) Marketing Management programme delivered in Hong Kong, leading the programme through local education authority reaccreditation. He also led the BA (Honours) Marketing with Digital Media (Hong Kong) through accreditation.

Collins served on the Research Degree and the International Operations committees. He was also the faculty academic lead for international students articulation. He has supervised doctoral students to successful completion, and he has experience as a doctoral examiner and external examiner.

 

Research Interests

Collins’ research interests cut across disciplines and include international marketing, global marketing, marketing agility, marketing ethics and sustainability, developing countries, business failure, international students’ transition, branding and social enterprise.
