Research interests

Blair is an early career researcher within the Marine Benthic Ecosystems and Evidence Synthesis (MBEES) group. He is currently investigating mitigative measures for the UK king scallop fishery to reduce anthropogenic impacts on benthic communities. His previous position based at St. Abbs Marine Station focused on research regarding small scale fisheries on the South-East coast of Scotland. This encompassed regional creel/pot fishing activity for commercially important decapod species, to improve the understanding of decapod ecology and sustainability in the Berwickshire Marine Reserve.
