Biography

I am a Senior Project Officer for the Centre for the Transformation of Work (CTW) within the School of Social Sciences at Heriot-Watt University. Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant, and throughout both roles my focus has been on promoting inclusion and accessibility in Research and Innovation careers. Some of my recent and ongoing projects include:

  • Centre for the Transformation of Work (CTW)
  • Disability Inclusive Careers in Engineering & the Sciences (DICE), (EPSRC, Impact Acceleration Award)
  • The Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Caucus (EDICa) (UKRI, in collaboration with the British Academy) 
  • Assessing the impact of the UK visa system on international researchers, focusing on protected characteristics and caregivers, and delivering policy recommendations (UKRI/ESRC)
  • Examining the impact of doctoral training grants on EDI for PhD students, and delivering policy and terms & conditions recommendations (UKRI)

I support a range of research, impact, and engagement activities and I am passionate about translating research into accessible and engaging content for diverse audiences.
