As Associate Professor of Finance at Heriot-Watt University based at the Dubai campus, Anthony Stevenson maintains a portfolio that combines teaching, research, doctoral supervision, programme leadership, and strategic engagement.

His responsibilities include teaching undergraduate modules in Mergers and Acquisitions and Finance, as well as managing the programme for MSc Finance research dissertations as well as supervising dissertations for MSc Finance students. He plays a key role in curriculum innovation, currently leading the development of a new online Finance and Accounting programme with a strong focus on Generative AI applications. He also collaborates closely with colleagues on research projects exploring Generative AI in finance and related fields, while continuing to publish in the areas of AI and M&A.

In addition, Anthony serves as Co-Director of PhD Recruitment, chairs PhD examinations, and acts as Chair of the Examination Board for the Postgraduate programme in Accounting and Finance.
