I am a mathematical physicist and my research focuses on quantum and classical integrable systems. More specifically, I have been working on integrable quantum spin chains and the Bethe ansatz formulation, quantum algebras, braid groups, Hecke & Temperley-Lieb algebras, solutions of the Yang-Baxter & reflection equations, and their set-theoretic versions. I have been also studying classical discrete integrable systems and integrable field theories, in particular the Hamiltonian formulation, dressing methods, solitons & integrable PDEs/ODEs. I am a member of the Edinburgh Mathematical Physics Group. More details about my research can be found in my personal webpage.
I am a professor of mathematics at Heriot-Watt University. My research interests lie in the domain of mathematical physics, especially in the areas of quantum and classical integrable systems. I joined Heriot-Watt University in 2013 as a Reader and prior to that I was an Assistant Professor at University of Patars. After receiving my PhD in theoretical physics from University of Miami in 1999 and until 2007 I held research positions at Durham University, University of York (EPSRC Fellowship), LAPTH-Annecy and University of Bologna. I studied physics as an undergraduate at National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
