Research interests

I am a mathematical physicist with research interests in the area of quantum and classical integrable systems. More specifically, I am interested in integrable quantum spin chains and the Bethe ansatz formulation, quantum algebras, braid groups, Hecke & Temperley-Lieb algebras, 2D integrable field theories & integrable PDEs. I am a member of the Edinburgh Mathematical Physics Group.

Biography

I studied Physics as an undergraduate at National & Kapodistrian Univerity of Athens and I obtained my PhD in Theoretical Physics from University of Miami in 1999. I have held research positions at Durham University, University of York, LAPTH-Annecy & University of Bologna. I was Assistant Professor at the University of Patras before joining Heriot-Watt University in 2013 as a Reader (Associate Professor).
