Aghdas is Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Edinburgh Business School's Centre for Logistics and Sustainability and also Centre of sustainable road freight. She is a fan of Mathematics, particularly data-driven decision-making, operations research, data mining, optimization, agent-based simulation, and statistical analysis.
During her career, she was awarded several research and teaching recognitions for her academic commitment. Her teaching activities consist of a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses on Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Data mining, Operational Research, Decision Sciences, Research Methods, Information Systems Development, and Management Science. In addition, she has a strong background in developing simulation and optimization tools for network design with applications for transportation procurement, freight distribution, cold chain network and humanitarian services. She has applied academic topics to real-world projects, as well. Overall, her academic training and experience working as a teacher, lecturer, professional researcher, and senior business analyst in industries have prepared her to serve as an effective researcher and supervisor.
