Description
CESEM is based in the Institute of Petroleum Engineering (IPE). It currently houses two scanning electron microscopes (Quanta 650 FEG SEM, XL30 ESEM) and the associated preparation equipment. Although based within IPE, the facility is available to academic users across Heriot-Watt University and further afield. The facility can also be hired by external commercial users, regularly carrying out consultancy work for a range of end users.
