Dataset

Description

The dataset consists of continuum images of the radio galaxy ESO 137-006, from the Norma cluster, obtained from about 19 GB of high-sensitivity data with the MeerKAT radio telescope at two sub-bands of the L-band, referred to as the `low' band, spanning the frequency range 961-1145 MHz and centred at 1053 MHz, and the `high' band, spanning the frequency range 1295-1503 MHz and centred at 1399 MHz. The formed images at both bands are of size 4096x4096, with a pixel resolution of about 1.68 arcsec and are obtained by the studied imaging algorithms uSARA and AIRI, underpinning the proposed parallel and automated framework for wide-field intensity imaging in radio interferometry. We provide reconstructions with the standard CLEAN as implemented in the WSClean imager, for comparison purposes.
