It is an optional course on BBA, MA Business Management with Business Law, MA International Business with Business Law. The aim of this course is to provide students with a broad knowledge of the legal framework for business entities in the UK. Whether you are an entrepreneur starting your own business or working within an existing business understanding how businesses are created, regulated and dissolved will provide you with the basic knowledge of the rights, duties, and liabilities both between persons participating in business, and between the business and the public. Ignorance of the law is never an excuse and falling afoul of these laws has not just financial implications, but also potentially criminal implications. Whilst this course focuses on business entities in Scotland and the UK, these general structures are found across the world and will also give you a good basic understanding of the global landscape for business entities.
