To identify and recover new reserves, operators are exploring more complex reservoirs. As reservoir complexity and compartmentalization increase, so does the uncertainty associated with accurately predicting reservoir presence, quality and performance. The ability to adequately address this uncertainty demands an integrated and quantitative interpretation that incorporates elements of geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and engineering.
