The Royal Academy of Engineering is conducting a study into the future and sustainability of liquid biofuels in UK transport. This work is being undertaken at the request of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the Department for Transport (DfT), which are funding the study. The study aims better to understand what liquid biofuels can be expected to contribute to the UK’s transport fuel mix and their carbon footprint as well as other sustainability issues involved in their production and supply. - See more at: http://www.raeng.org.uk/policy/engineering-policy/current-issues#sthash.BVfYAX4q.dpuf
