Description

Panellist

I was invited by Prof. Arie Lewin (Duke University) and Prof. Bent Petersen (CBS) as a panellist at a session remembering and celebrating Prof. James March’s intellectual legacy at the Academy of International Business Conference (AIB) held at Copenhagen June 2019. Prof March was an organisational theorist at Stanford University –known for his classic work on behavioural theory of firm, decision making, organisational learning. Together with other international colleagues, I was highlighting his scholarly contribution and reflecting how my intellectual interaction and exchange with Prof. March via his mentorship during my study of PhD at Stanford has influenced my subsequent scholarship in innovation, strategy and organisational learning, especially the organisational challenges of balancing exploration and exploitation. Prof. March was outstanding not only as a researcher, but also as the humblest human being.
