Participation in the Dubai Sports Council Official Logo Design Competition (Open Call)

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventParticipation in Festival or Exhibition

Description

Participated in the official open-call design competition organised by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) to propose a new visual identity for Dubai’s sporting sector. The submission centred on the creative concept note “Push Past Possible,” which was developed to position Dubai as a modern, innovative, and world-leading sports hub.

The proposal featured a comprehensive identity system, including a dynamic logomark paired with an abstracted figure in motion to represent human potential, momentum, and progress. Key design elements were engineered to meet strict institutional requirements. These included optimisation for high-resolution digital and print applications (300 DPI), cross-functional utility on both light and dark backgrounds, and the elimination of complex gradients to enable seamless media scalability.

This activity represents professional engagement with a major regional government body. It translates strategic civic ambitions into practice-based design solutions. The work serves as a case study in contemporary sports branding, cultural alignment, and public-sector design engagement within the United Arab Emirates.
