Media Engagement and Press Coverage – Public Visibility of Research (2005–ongoing): My research activities have generated extensive media coverage in local newspapers in the city of Pelotas (Brazil), as well as on national Brazilian platforms, highlighting initiatives developed through LabCom, the outcomes of the PlaceAge project, and a range of exhibitions and public seminars. In particular, findings from my Master’s dissertation (2003) and PhD thesis (2007) were widely reported in the local press in Pelotas. This media attention contributed to action by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Pelotas, which formally required the Pelotas City Council to protect the city’s historic buildings from visual pollution caused by commercial signage. This process resulted in the enactment of Municipal Law No. 5.639, of 1 December 2009.
