Description

Along with my co-tutor we have led a field-based reservoir modelling class. We present the latest best practice in reservoir modelling and simulation presented in the context of a geological field trip. This class is run twice per year typically.

This course examines the reservoir modelling workfl ow from static 3D geocellular modelling through to dynamic fl ow simulation. Participants work a series of exercises in teams based on high-quality outcrops, considering and developing each as a modelling exercise. The majority of this course is spent in the fi eld, but several of the exercises have classroom components with supporting lectures.
