There is limited experimental data on the solubility of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in CO2. Available data in literature are restricted to high temperatures (T >20°C) and the gas phase. Similarly, at lower temperatures, experimental data are scarce. Therefore, to validate thermodynamic models for these mixtures and the temperature range associated with different applications (e.g., injection wells, pipeline, ship transport, etc.), generating experimental data is essential. The aim of this JIP is to address some of the gaps in the existing literature by performing targeted experiments on the solubility of VOCs in CO2 and using the data to refine EOSs.
