Professor Raffaella Ocone, from the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, was recently invited to deliver a lecture for the Institute of Engineering Technology (IET), Scotland South West Network.
The invited lecture, which took place in 16 January at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh, was part of a series for the IET, which has more than 150,000 members in 127 countries.
Professor Ocone's lecture was entitled 'Biochar Applications'. The lecture explored the many applications of biochar and how its production can help in tacking the reduction of CO2 emissions.
