As Principal Investigator of the British Academy–funded project Amazon Indigenous Wisdom: Shaping Climate Solutions in Brazil (2024–2026), my research has directly informed debates on climate governance and Indigenous rights at national and international levels. Evidence of impact includes structured interviews and policy dialogues with 18 policymakers in the capital of Brazil, Brasília, (2024–2025) focused on integrating Indigenous ontologies into Brazilian climate policy frameworks. Internationally, the project informed invited contributions to closed policy forums at the British Academy (British Academy–Carnegie Endowment for International Peace international policy programme on Global (Dis)Order on 18 June 2025, online; Questions Concerning Longevity, London, 28 October 2025), the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research (New York, 24 July 2025, online participation under the Chatham House Rule), and COP30 (Belém, 10-15 November 2025). These engagements demonstrate the translation of community-based research into policy-relevant knowledge for climate mitigation and adaptation.
