In-work poverty and enterprise: Self-employment and business ownerships as context of poverty

    Activity: Talk or presentationPublic lecture

    Description

This presentation reports on a study of how enterprise can and does intersect with poverty in Scotland today. Drawing from the testimonies of key stakeholders throughout Scotland, and citing examples of cases of self-employed people living in poverty, recommendations are made which include better inspection of enterprise as a labour market policy and practice, and meaningful support to alleviate self-employed poverty.
